		<description>In instances where the barcodes contain the part number, I do know of companies whose vendors also scan the barcodes on prints for their own internal processes.

I guess it depends on what is in the barcode. If it is of a unique database ID, then it would only have value for someone who could connect to the database. However you certainly could put product information in a barcode that could be read by others.</description>
