On March 17, 2017 we hosted our annual March Madness Open House. Last year we had well over 100 people in attendance across multiple industries. This year we narrowed down or focus to Aerospace and Automotive companies and still saw close to 50 people in attendance. Stratasys helped us out and brought an Injection Mold Expert from Israel for the day. We started off by watching some basketball, what else is one to do during March Madness, and filling our plates with some outstanding BBQ. Nate Harris, Directer of 3D Printing for 3DVision Technologies hosted the event and made introductions. Mark Dabe, Senior Director of Sales for Stratasys, introduced himself and other members of his team that were at the event....
My grandmother used to tell me the month of March "Comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb." I've heard these words many times over the years but it has always been my grandmothers voice in my mind. I would agree with this statement every year except this year (March 2017). Have you been to a SOLIDWORKS World in the past or even know what the event is? If you are unfamiliar, SOLIDWORKS World is the annual event, held in early February, where the SOLIDWORKS community (users, VARs, and SOLIDWORKS employees) gathers to talk all things SOLIDWORKS. It is 4 days packed with lots of information and lots of fun, typically held in a nice warm location (Los Angeles this year)! Each day starts with a General Session, followed by breakout sessions with presenters from SOLIDWORKS, VARs, and Users. This year, our Elite Application Engineer, Randy Simmons, will be presenting. The evenings are also always fun, getting to talk and share with other users and employees across the world, in a...
Have you recently started a small business but are not ready to, or cannot make the full investment in your CAD system yet? SOLIDWORKS understands this is a question that more and more people are answering with “yes.” What you may not know is that SOLIDWORKS has already been addressing this issue with the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs program. For those of you that are unaware of this program, it is a great way for makers to start utilizing the power of SOLIDWORKS early in the design process before having to make that investment in a CAD system. With this program, you get access to software, training and co-marketing resources. What this means is, if accepted, you can receive up to...
